I love good bagels, which are difficult to find in Brisbane, but $8 for a takeaway bagel and cream cheese is a bit ridiculous. Customer service was a bit abrupt – I can certainly see why others have been turned off.
I have NEVER been so upset by customer service as I was yesterday at Velocity at Brisbane Airport. My husband and I attended Velocity yesterday to purchase a small cup of warm milk so that I could feed my 15-month-old girl before we boarded our flight home to Sydney. The blonde woman working behind the counter (with tattoos visible on her neck) rudely informed me that she would not be serving us any milk hot, warm or cold. That she was not handling baby bottles, as it was a health and safety issue. I made it crystal clear that she didnt have to touch the baby bottle, and that all I wanted was (rather than a cappuccino or a latte), I wanted to purchase a take away cup of luke warm milk. She insisted that now that she knew that it would be served to a baby, she was not prepared to serve us at all and rudely told me to GO AWAY. I asked to speak with her manager and she told me to make a complaint at the Qantas customer service desk across from her cafe Seriously? Well here is my public complaint. Atrocious customer service deserves public condemnation.
It is nice to relax with a glass of wine before a flight. However, the wine we had was over-priced for what it was and we were sat in an area that looked just like an average shopping centre food court. At least it was in a proper glass.
Velocity Cafe Brisbane Domestic. Still asleep on Friday morning & found to my surprise a coffee shop with the staff there but no lights, asked the staff what time opening was, they said it would be about 15 minutes, but if I liked they would make me a coffee while they set up.Such pleasantness is hard to find in the airport at such an early time, certainly wasn’t coming thru security.Thank you, I read the blogs and people are either just mean or enjoy making someone else feel bad. This is a big compliment to all the staff who start at such a ridiculous hour & have to put up with ignorant travellers, who should have stayed in bed or know better.
Extremely rude staff you should pick your staff more carefully. I approached the counter at 410am to ask what time she opens at I got to excuse me and she screamed NO at me in a very loud voice. I said I was only asking what time you open at she glared at me and said 430!!!! Unbelievable customer service she should not be allowed work with the general public. A customer relations course badly needed here!! This happened 13.1.2015 at 410am
Rude and obnoxious service. My daughter and I ordered coffee and sandwiches at this coffee shop at the Brisbane domestic airport food court tonight. It will be the last time ever! My coffee was served only luke warm so I returned with it to the counter and explained the situation and asked ‘Tristan’ if it could be warmed up. I was pretty surprised when his response was ‘ And just how do you expect me to do that?’. I assumed he was joking and laughed. He then said that the only thing he could do was to re-make it, so I asked him to do that then. I apologised and said it just wasn’t hot enough for me. And he said I didn’t know what I was talking about and that I should read his reviews…..well I just have…and lo and behold a lot of other people have had the same bad attitude and poor service too. And lets not even mention the price!
Never eat there, even if it’s free.. I was greatly disappointed with what I bought there for breakfast, expensive and NOT fresh. Perhaps their reason to individually wrap each sandwich was to hide the -at least – two days old bread, filled with tasteless ham, cheese and tomatoes. The coffee was the worst; I would have probably done better at hungry Jack.I mentioned this to one of the people serving there. Nothing was done.I would NOT eat there again, even if they gave free food.Shame!
