Wow, what a wonderful vibrant cafe. The staff were so lovely, and the food was wonderful. The barramundi was perfectly cooked and crispy, and the ribs were great. The inside of the cafe is very welcoming and vibrant. A really nice lunch option on Tamborine Mountain.

We parked our car and went into the first place found with alcoholic beverages and a kids menu (the alcohol was for the parents!). Great service, very friendly. The Chicken avocado and cheese toastie is amazing. Relaxing feel for a Sunday lunch under a big elm tree.

We were in the scenic gallery area of Mount Tamborine and after not having much luck at finding a well recommended place to have lunch, we ventured into The Monkey Tree. While waiting for our food to come out we noticed an unpleasant fried oil smell wafting around the place. It had me a little worried that our food was going to be bad. After a short wait, we were pleasantly surprised the food was mostly well cooked. The zucchini fritters were a little dry and the seafood sticks in the seafood basket did not taste fresh. The chicken schnitzel was perfect though, crunchy on the outside and still moist on the inside. The grilled chicken burger was also cooked well, with the chicken still moist and not overcooked. I would have happily eaten a whole bowl of chips which were crunchy and covered in chicken salt. Some of the cutlery was a little dirty but service overall was friendly and attentive.
