Booked this cafe after reading Dianas review. Went there incidentally because it was too early to have brekkie at the SPOON across the road. A nice small cafe with cosy set-up. Ordered just a slice of raisin toast and a flat white. Barista did a good job to reflect fully taste of Merlo. In addition, the coffee was smooth and strong enough for my palate. Even though I just ordered one slice of raisin toast but the presentation was good. Not a bad brekkie to start for the day.
This cafe has recently changed owners since the last time we were there. I remember the other place (not the name) as the coffee I received there was pretty rough! This is a small place with simple food like toasties, which are done well I might add. I had the vegetarian toastie for the ridiculous price of $8 with a coffee. The toastie even had avocado inside with lots of runny cheese oozing through all the other green goodies. Coffee too was a winner Merlo double shot no hint of bitterness & very smooth presented well
Delicious coffee and newspapers supplied by this newly opened cafe in Kangaroo Point. I loved the decor and the owners were very friendly. The kitchen is tiny. I’m not sure how they create proper meals there but they must because the food all looked so fresh.
