Best steak on the south side, $12 with a Beer 🙂 great atmosphere and lovely service! My partner had the steak and I had the grilled chicken Caesar, absolutely fantastic
Great decor and atmosphere and great weekly specials with a day for everyone. The food was above average with the steak being nice and tender, the potatoes were good and the vegetables were fresh and not frozen.The Parmigana was a good size if only I would recommend not getting the Brie as it hardens and becomes tough on top. It is also a shame they use mozzarella instead of tasty cheese. I would also say that it would be better if the Parmigana did not sit on top of the chips for them to get soggy but overall the taste was good. Service was good and will be going back there again and would recommend if you’re look for a good pub with good prices and good food.Above average pub food.
Had dinner here one night and wasn’t disappointed with the Shafston. Being a pub though it is hard to find much vegetarian variety though the pizzas are really good. Would go back again.
Thanks to the wonderful staff at the shafston hotel for a delightful Melbourne cup day! Price of the event included a photo booth, meals, drinks, raffles and a beauty bar for the ladies who wanted beauty treatment. The decorations, art work and service was lovely and the seafood buffet upstairs was amazing. We all had a great time watching the race that stops the nation! stretchandlearn.wordpress.com
Had dinner and high tea here before and found both times very memorable. The level of attention to detail is amazing and ingredients of high quality standards. Decor is nice and service is impeccable. Love to revisit this place for more food tasting in the near future. Thumbs up for the pastry chef 😉
Don’t go because of venue manager. Venue manager is the worst person to exist there’s no point even attending this venue
