We got takeaway from The Barra Boys on Monday night and it was fantastic. The fish was cooked beautifully and not greasy at all. We got a serve of both sweet potato and potato chips and they were really yum. This is the best fish and chip shop weve tried in the area.
Hands down, BEST fish & chips ever. We had the Tacklebox for 2 and it was amazing. Best tartare sauce I have ever tried. Quick service and friendly staff. We will definitely come back! 5
Best fish and chips shop in Brisbane! And I know them all! We had the Tacklebox for 2 and it was a great size and value for money. The quality of the ingredients is what sets this place apart from the others, IMO.
It would have been great to see some more food than six tiny little prawns on skewers for 24 dollars. Asked for no chips and some extra salad but the amount of salad on the plate didnt justify the price. The prawns were alright, stuff you can get anywhere. People I was with enjoyed their fish and chips and the chicken burger.
The price on Menulog is much higher that what is listed in the menu here. It was the most expensive fish and chips I have ever had. Ordered a cod combo on menulog. The menu said all set served with salad, however I was so shocked to find that there was no salad in there when I opened the takeout. So I paid $24 for chips, one cod fillet and one tartar sauce. They tasted just like any other fish&chips but cost double the price!!! Please don’t waste your money here
