Really ordinary. Pretty sure the chicken wings were from a sparrow. The chips were soggy. Not cheap for the crap that was served up. Spend the mains eating with dirty entre plates still on the table.

The food was subline- my housemate had the quesadias with chicken and couldn’t finish her plate leaving room for her fried mars bar, meanwhile i had the baked jacket potato with lamb, a little spicy but still delicious and the banana chimmachanga YUMMY

Looked promising walking past Saturday night, so Sunday it was. Service was OK given busy flower fest season. Food was pricey so I was expecting better than the pre-prepped stuff that turned up. Tacos were just OK (they’re tacos). Alas the beef was a simple mince, and the chicken more a red sauce with chicken bits. Generally sloppy & not meaty..we didn’t eat the beef.Around the table, mix plate showed off a lot of expensive, but average tasting fare. Buffalo wings were wet with sauce, chimmies were truly gross (like a meat pie) and ribs were OK but didn’t taste fresh. Soz, but I wouldn’t again

We came here because we’d seen lots of other people going in to the restaurant for dinner the previous day. Maybe they didn’t know any better either. The food isn’t by any means cheap, with main meals going for over $20. They have the standard options you’d find at other Mexican places, like fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and quesadillas. Between the group of us, we ordered a number of different items, so tried a range of things. Sadly, the chimichangas were more pastry wrap than fillings, and the fillings were more beans than other things. The ribs had enough sauce on them to cover the meat well, but the meat was tough rather than tender. You could see the oil on the taco shells, and the meats that came out with them were not great. The slow cooked chicken had proportionally too much sauce to meat. The pork was..essentially pork mince in sauce. Much of the food seemed to have just been reheated then served. What makes this place less than a 3.0 though, is the service, or lack thereof. While there is a supposed system of turning on the light of a bottle with a sombrero on it on your table to let the wait staff know you want to order, the success rate of that in getting attention was precisely zero. Waving and trying to catch someone’s eye was almost as futile. The place was less than a quarter full the night we were there. We were short of the needed number of glasses and water, and though we asked and they apparently took note, more glasses and water never came. When cutlery that hadn’t been properly cleaned was returned to them, while they gave us a new set, the unclean set went back into the box to be given to another patron..Not on the list to eat at again. elsewherebriefly.com

Love this place! The food is always hearty and filling- not to mention delicious. A big fan of the barra salad, the fish is beautiful and well seasoned. Also love the tacos and the chilli con carne. The place has a great vibe aswell- warm, relaxed and inviting

Nowhere near Mexico… This place has put me off dining out altogether, very expensive for a town like Toowoomba and my Enchilada/salad was absolute slop.Completely bland, oily, flavourless food and when you discover that, they ask you to pay more to get some heat and flavour, The joke is on us! Please do not waste your money here!

Late and Cold. I was extremely disappointed on Saturday night. I ordered a cob loaf for myself and my partner as an entree, the bread was clearly old and dry and wasn’t toasted and there was hardly any cob dipping sauce as they obviously did not cut out a large enough hole. My fellow guests received their mains after a 40 minute wait and i waited patiently with the little green light signal turned on for service to question where my main was. 10 minutes passed and i had to signal a staff member who checked the kitchen to find there was a mix up with my meal. Everyone had finished their meals by the time I received my meal the Texas Grazer which consisted of buffalo wings, ribs, salad and some other items. It was cold. I informed a staff member who was an older female with a dark bob who said she will check what happened. She never returned. At most restaurants one would expect a discount but I received nothing. I didn’t even eat half of my meal because it was that cold. On a bright note the older male staff member serving the chilli vodka to guests was lovely. Sadly I will not be returning.
