Loved the food but it’s soooo expensive! The price didn’t even include hummus and/or the Turkish garlic sauce. For the price they charged we expected it to include everything. We have tried so many Turkish restaurants that are cheaper yet so much better! Also, they usually include hummus and the Turkish garlic sauce in their price.
We enjoyed the food and the service! Great vegetarian options. It was lovely to share the food. Would recommend dessert and the share platters.
We had the Sofra Mezza, Mixed Kebab and Eggplant Dip. The Turkish bread was one of the best I’ve had. Loved the fried puffs on the Mezza. Highly recommend the dip and Mezza! Absolutely delish! The service was excellent too. The Cleopetra Kiss is liken to an Indian Mango Lassi drink.
Me and my partner got the vegetarian platter to share. Then put a pide on the side. All of the food was delicious and the platter to share was good value. The waitresses were nice, really helpful and very attentive. They seemed to have lots of staff working so there was no waiting on anything. Plus they had belly dancing and musical entertainment for it being a Friday night. If your in Toowoomba I highly recommend Sofra
Grea food and what a fantastic atmosphere this place is. Had the babaganush dip with the lamb kebab and chicken grill. All a big thumbs up. Staff were friendly as well. Only criticism would be the small amount of Turkish bread and wraps that came with the meals….usually breads and wraps are almost all you can eat in middle eastern restaurants. Highly recommended though.
Super delicious Turkish food!A friend of ours recommended this cool restaurant in Toowoomba town centre. We ordered a platter for two to share and 2 mains. Everything in the platter was super delicious and filling. Our favourite was the Peynirli Sigara Bregi – it’s filo pastry rolls with feta cheese, lasagna cheese, herbs and minced spinach. We felt pretty full after finishing the platter and luckily the friendly staff cancelled our mains before they start to prepare our dishes so we don’t waste any food. We recommend sharing the platter with 2+ people if you’d like to try their mains. It was a real shame because seeing as their entrees are so delicious, we can only imagine how good the char-grill would be! Definitely coming back for more. 10/10 would recommend!
