I went here a little while ago and got something breakfast like. I asked if I could get their bacon egg and cheese in Gluten free. She explained they could, but it wouldn’t be great as the bread is so small. I get this. It’s gluten free bread. The cooked ingredients were great, but the service was poor – and I felt like she was giving me attitude about wanting it gluten free…. It’s not a life style choice.

The place is open and welcoming and their biggest selling point is great coffee and comfortable lounges. The waffles and pancakes are nice, it just seems lioe for the price you pay you should get a little more somthing. Not bad by any stretch. Just not amazing

Fantastic place for a naughty brunch! The Canadian Pancakes and waffles were exceptional. Coffee is great. The atmosphere is excellent with a wide selection of good books and decor. Will certainly love to come back

I would be the first to sing praises for the sweet Canadian delights that this new’ish cafe serves up in mid town Toowoomba. We ordered the Canadian pancake which was served with 3 strips of bacon, a scoop of ice cream and a shot glass of maple syrup. This was a very generous plate of sweetness which, fortunately for my waist line, was shared between 3. The pancake was thick, light & fluffy and the combination of the creamy ice cream, salty crispy bacon along with the delicious maple syrup is a winner! The coffee was ok. Service was a little slow. The rest of my review has nothing to do with the food or service, but I feel must be said. They need to address the decor in this place. It in no way offers any sort of ambience or vibe and I really think that a visual and atmospheric satisfaction is as important as a culinary one.

Have been for food and that was good but the coffee…. Don’t do it. Their takeaway cups are small for the price. Cups are light (poorly textured milk) and they use crappy dairy farmers new milk (the fake 2% crap)- didn’t ask if we wanted full cream or anything. Way to hot and took a while (they had zero hustle).

Food took ages to come out.. It was just plain waffles with ice cream, not sure what takes so long. They were pretty average waffles too. Wasn’t very inviting decor either .. Won’t go back

Went here for morning tea. The vibe is quite cool, lots of splashes of reds and quotes on the walls. I was suprised it didnt have a bigger range of books seeing as it markets itself as a bookshop/cafe but i suppose its only just opened.Menu is limited to pancakes, waffles, a few quiches and an impressive range of pies. Very limited range of savory things sadly but those with a sweet tooth will be well catered for. I had the most amazing slice of pumpkin pie. The serving was quite small but that suited me and the pastry was to die for. Also had a chai which was lovely and loose leaf, they were out of English breakfast sadly. The boyfriend had the canadian double stack of pancakes which were huuuge! He struggled to finish them but swears they were amazing. He also had some iced coffee concoction with maple syrup and icecream which was amazing if a little sweet for me. Will definetly be back for more pie!
