Delicious food fabulous experience. Best indian food I have ever had! I dont know what half of these people are talking about, you will find that if you go to mary street to dine in that your food will only take longer because this is the main restaurant for take away hense why there a very little table and chairs available, whereas if you go to the down town store in margaret street to dine in your food will come much quicker as this is the dine in restaurant. I was assured their food is prepare fresh and nothing is froxen or reheated. People must realise this is a family owned and operated business and I personally think it is fantastic for the resources they have. Wonderful experience, would go back time and time again

Everest Spice Highfields. One of the worst customer service experiences I have experienced in the last 20 years, took over 30 minutes for 2 mains (to be microwaved). Ordered 2 meals and starters. Samosas had been frozen and warmed, they were still cool in the middle. Meal had also been frozen and warmed, I went there thinking our custom would be valued – there was not a single other person in the shop at 6.30pm. I guess there’s a reason why!

Terrible experience. We waited 40 minutes in the restaurant for a couple of takeaways on a quiet day. We took our meals to the park across the road, since the restaurant itself is not very attractive, and the food was really bad, like the waste from a grease trap. 99% of the food was thrown in the garbage because it was inedible. One friend who has lived in India, said it was the worst Indian meal she had ever tasted, and that the heavy overspiced flavours in no way matched the description on the menu (ie the dahl did not taste like dahl, the paneer did not taste like paneer – it all tasted like vile greasy sludge). Avoid.

Disgusting!. I don’t think I have ever had such a rank curry in all my life. We had a beef rogan josh which was dry with a keema naan which had no filling whatsoever, a butter chicken that tasted of old over used cooking oil and a chicken tikka masala that was totally over spiced both served with a garlic naan bread which was burnt and shop bought popadoms that weren’t even cooked. For this we were charged $70. I phoned to complain and was told that it had all been cooked the way that they usually cook the food so if that’s the case and you don’t want disgusting food don’t eat from here!

Not a fan soz. I was really looking forward to trying their food there, but had a bad experience. the restaurant itself wasn’t busy that day but there were lots of takeaway orders. I waited nearly half an hour for my meal which was just mango chicken with rice. Very small serve n from memory it was nearly $20, didn’t even fill me up. A group of people arriving maybe 5 min after me only got their entree when I was leaving. There are worse places in toowoomba but sorry not a fan

Could be more authentic. Ventured into the downtown branch of Everest Spice (Cnr. Ruthven & Margaret Sts.) for Sunday lunch on 16 Dec. Our party of 5 was shown to and seated a table at the far end of the restaurant close to the counter above which a tv played Bollywood movies. The Nepalese decor was colourful and somewhat kitsch, but did not detract from our dining experience. The front doors and windows were left ajar permanently rendering the air-conditioning ineffective and we also had to contend with a few flies. The restaurant was not busy and the service was to our satisfaction. My wife and I opted for Beef Madras and Lamb Nawabi with the usual servings of steamed rice and naan. The variation in the taste of the two curries was subtle, the Beef Madras being a touch spicier. However, there was a distinct sugary sweetness in the two dishes, untypical of authentic Indian curries.
