This is our go to place in Emerald. Meals are always great, coffee is good and service is always friendly. Definitely recommend the shashuka which is on the specials board at the moment – just the right amount of heat for these cold mornings. It definitely my favourite dish at the moment.
I haven’t eaten anywhere else in Emerald but I’m willing to guarantee this is the cream of their crop. I wasn’t 100% thrilled with my vegie breakfast (but all day breakfast, yay) and couldn’t shake the feeling I was still making bad, regretful choices and should have ordered the pumpkin pizza. But if anything shows the quality of a cafe: the iced mocha is made with ice cream, no signs of the travesty which is mocha with chunks of plain ice.The location is a sweet oasis of hippish green that you might not expect from central west queensland and it’s right around the corner from the big easel which no doubt you’re parked in front of right now.
