Disgusting and inexcusable quality of product!Ask for grilled snapper received battered fish with the batter peeled off after cooking.. Owner was too busy to get to the phone to speak to on the matter… Not a hard reach to believe the owner was in the kitchen themselves allowing such practices to be performed!
Was not sure what to expect when meeting family for lunch at this local cafe, but it did not disappoint! Happy with my portion of barramundi and servings of hot chips and fresh salad.Lovely, leafy surroundings for the outdoor seating & friendly staff.
Nestled away in bush covered suburbia, Fish Lips is a pleasant little restaurant with clean professional look and an eating area overlooking the local bush land. The staff were helpful and the meal took 13 minutes to arrive. The food was nice and hot, with plenty of crunchy chips. Would recommend.
Awesome location, huge serves and friendly efficient service. I am lucky enough to live close enough to walk to Fish Lips and I head there often. The food is always great and service has always been friendly. They also have a specials board offering some nice variety, and they do breakfast until mid afternoon! (Eggs Benedict is sometimes in the specials board!) The location is terrific, with a great outdoor dining area with a beautiful breeze! Really nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon with a great meal and a bottle of wine! (Bws is conveniently located next door, I haven’t had the chance to have a drink with my meal yet, but plan to soon! – I think they have a BYO license so you can?) Honestly, some people need to remember you are review a fish and chip shop, not a silver service restaurant. if you review an apple, you compare to other Apple, not a mango. There is a reason a mango costs $4.50 while an apple costs 20 cents…
Waited 10 minutes just to place my take away order. Received our order and the chips did not gave chicken salt on them even though I requested it and the fish and calamari didn’t taste very fresh. Every time we go here their service is always slow. We won’t be going back.
We waited 40 minutes for a basic takeaway order (we’re told 20 mins when we called) then our order was wrong. We were missing a burger and when we called to discuss were fobbed off until I insisted on speaking with the manager. The chicken on another burger was over cooked. Very disappointing and we will not be back!
Disappointed. Saw the great reviews and was expecting something special. The chips were very nice, however, the fish advertised as cod was not cod it was an awful tasteless mush. I’d love to know what fish it was so I can avoid in future. anyway I cannot recommend this place due to false advertising on the fish and the fact the fish was inedible.
