I just returned from a year living in Thailand, so needless to say my standards are super high. Would have been nice to have been greeted at the door, instead of just wandering in for my takeaway. Got my name wrong, food was pretty good-would have liked Pad-See-Ew with longer strands of noodle. Otherwise, good. The guy sitting in the office chair at the front of house was a little off-putting, a warm hello would have been lovely.
This has become our new favourite Thai takeaway. Just great authentic Thai food. From the fish cakes to the beef basil to the curries. It’s all good. I would go there for dine in, but the amount of neon hurts my eyes. Especially the flickering one surrounding the main entrance.
Had our first meal at Thai on Ferny Way this evening. Food wasn’t bad, but when we came to pay, the price was different to that expected. Fairly large fellow behind the counter was an absolute douche about it. Turns out when their menu says rice is a per person price, what they mean is its a per serve price. In short, I’m sure we could have argued our case that we had been overcharged on this basis, but the guy was so rude about it, we’ll be just voting with our feet and not returning. Seems like this experience is somewhat similar to the other review where a ‘Bruce’ overcharged and didn’t seem to think it was a big deal. Shame, food was ok, but ‘Douche bag at counter = we ain’t returning’.
Great service, food fresh and tasty. The chili was very hot (which is great) and they happily served this on the side so all people could enjoy the mains.
Under new ownership. Food is excellent (try the stir fried pork belly ) , reasonably priced drinks, and great customer service . Huge inprovement on the last owners, Give it a go!
