Saturday night didn’t feel like cooking so thought of Thai food straight way. I’m picky when it comes to Thai so was cautious to try a new shop. Thai Rae We looks like your run of the mill Thai place but turn out to be a hidden gem. Highly recommend the Won ton soup, was da Bomb!
I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to try this local thai takeaway; I’m desperate to find a good local thai place for my curry fix. This was a pleasant experience, and I’ll be happy to come back again in the future on a lazy weeknight when I can’t be bothered to cook…but with memories of a faultless night out at Red Chilli Thai in Bargara, it wasn’t the BEST thai I’ve ever had. The food was fresh and tasty, but the flavours were a little unbalanced in our curries; a little too sweet in some and a little too sour in others. Nothing horrible, but not as spectacular as I’d hoped it to be. The portions weren’t particularly large, but the prices were still reasonable and our family of four were fed to satisfaction for $67 (2 curries, rice, 2 entrees).
Best hidden secret in north Brisbane. The best genuine Thai food I have ever eaten and really reasonably priced. Love it so much! Love supporting local family businesses!!
Always amazing. Every meal I have had from Thai Ra We has been amazing always so full of flavour. Have never been unhappy with a meal. Always get a lovely welcome when we walk in. A+++ service.
Divine. I’ve had takeaway from Thai Ra We a couple of times now and am trying to sample all of their dishes to have a feel for what they are good at. Behind the simple takeaway shop front is some of the most delicious subtle Thai food in the take away wasteland that is Ferny Grove/Keperra. Most Thai food is in your face full of strong flavours. The entree’s are hot, fresh and tasty and the curries are delicious, but the winners are the soups. The pork wonton soup is AMAZING. The wontons are kept in a separate container until you are ready to add them. They are perfect bite size morsels of pork encased in soft wonton wrappers and added to the broth that is so tasty, so subtly flavoured that each spoonful will have you guessing, what gives it that unique taste. BEAUTIFUL. Try it you won’t be disappointed. Will be back for sure and have even found my comfort food.
