very friendly staff and fish tastes really good. The chicken schnitzel is good along with the rib steak they grill! Their fish and chips shop is good for dining in !If ordering for take away it can take awhile however that’s to be expected if it’s cooked fresh which is worth it in the end!
I AM a well known customer at LAKES SEAFOOD.and I will list the most important and greatest deliciocities of it.Firstly, the salt and pepper squid – when it is made fresh, it is an absolute win – hands down. Absolutely perfect flavour and crunch. Occasionally it is made to be displayed on the outside for instant buys – but sometimes this isn’t as fresh unless you see it being put out instantly. This goes for about $4 for a small box, $7 for a large.Next is the fish and chips deal – There are 3 kinds where you choose battered, crumbed or grilled.-Fish and chips: $8.60 (So the cost for two SHOULD be $17.20) on the side-Fish chips and salad: $11-Fish chips and calamari: $10(I believe they only let us have cod or dory … any other first would be extra costs).Their chips are perfectly cooked as well – it is not thin chips. They’re like crunchy and perfectly served with gravy if requested.This place also does phone orders so it is more convenient when I’m making grill fish phone orders (takes 15 minutes for grilled).Staff was friendly and asian. The boss I think (or the boss wife…) is not fluent on english but she takes orders accurately as she does confirm once again.
