Lady Meatball and I happened upon Baedeker this evening and it has instantly catapulted into my second favourite Brisbane bar behind The Gressham.Descend the two stairs and youll find yourself in a basement wine bar with stone floors, brick walls, leather sofas and a great wine menu. Cheese and charcuterie are also available.The highlight was the revolving bookcase, which reveals a large function dining room on the other side. So cool!The half point deduction is because the selection of wines by the glass are a bit limited (and you dont always want a full bottle).Easily the most comfortable bar Ive been to this year – well definitely be back.
My favourite drinking spot in Brisbane. Excellent fit out, the Maxwell Smart bookcase which leads to a large private dining room and really helpful staff. You cannot go wrong. I hope this place is hugely successful as it thoroughly deserves it.
