We had breakfast at this cafe. Its located in an arcade on James St. The ambience was great, quiet and subtle music was playing. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We had soy cap, LF cap and two smashed avocados and corn. The smashed avocado looked a bit small but it was rich and tasty. It came with a slice of French sourdough, haloumi, spinach leaves, two eggs and semi grilled cherry tomatoes. The eggs were poached very well, the right thickness, not too runny. Only downside was the spinach leaves, not fresh enough. They serve Fonzie Abbott coffee which was nice. The barista did a good job at making the coffees.
This rating is based on the coffee alone, and if i try some of the food i will update.I had a double shot short macchiato yesterday and it was really smooth and gave me the nice instant buzz that i needed. They serve the Fonzie Abbot beans, which i am now a fan of!
Re-visit this caf which located just adjacent to the Gerald Bistro neat James Street. Arrived five minutes too early so have to walked around for its start of the day. Needless to say, I was the first customer of the day and those croissant sitting on the bench tempted me to point at them to go with my flat white. Coffee was well presented with good enough strength while the croissant was good with spongy layers to go with the jam and butter. Sounds to be a good start to have a satisfied light brekkie for the day… Cheers 🙂
