Saturday brunch during our long weekend. Luckily for us, we didn’t have much planned and I was free to choose where to go that morning for a catch up with some friends. To this we decided to check out the new Halo Grounds which had opened recently along Brookes Street at Fortitude Valley, fairly close to the Emporium.
It was in the mid last month that I discovered this local gem. Venue is very big with high ceiling and plenty spaces at the al fresco dining area. Lay out is contemporary. Service is very proficient. When I approached the counter, my attention was attracted by the Ham & Cheese Croissants sitting at the top of counter. Took a seat at the indoor area. Both the food and beverage are fantastic with above average standard. The Cleanskin coffee brew matches my palate and so as the strength. Croissant was another surprise, which was tasteful with generous portion of ham with cheese. Croissant itself is flaky and layered. It was a very satisfied brekkie for the day. Thumb-up!
