Generous servings and pricing is good for a pre Tivoli feed.Thai Beef salad was just OK. Significant variation in how much each piece of beef was cooked – from medium through to (nearly) blue.I’ll take beef anyway it comes but this would be a problem for some. Wasn’t a whole lot of thai flavours either. The calamari was very good!

Interesting pub food served here, chips are delicious… we ordered the Beef Pie, Sweet Potato Fries, Steak Sandwich, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Crispy Skin Salmon, Barramundi… The service needs some work, we ordered Cheesy Garlic Bread however it wasn’t placed on order or paid for, reading the order back when taking it will help with this…. upon realising this, I then paid for the bread (and was not offered a complimentary one).. After eating my meal, I then realised the garlic bread had not been delivered to my table. The Chef had said he would bring it out directly to my table. We then enquired about the whereabouts of bread, however did not eventuate and were given a cash refund. In addition to this the order was placed for chips and gravy with our pies however when plated they only had Salad on them… the beef in pies was dry and unappealing, our sweet potato fries were dry also, the Salmon had a crispy skin however was way over cooked, yuck, well done Salmon is never a pleasant experience… I personally prefer Medium rare Salmon .. Now all this at 3pm in the afternoon, the place was definitely not busy today, it leaves a firm question in my mind as to why we would have an experience like this. If that’s the standard, then give this place a miss, there’s way better dining in City area than this experience.

I go here regularly to drink but have never eaten here till spontaneously the other day. I ordered a chicken schnitzel burger and my two mates ordered the chicken parmigiana. When the buzzer went off we went to grab our meals from the counter and I was shocked. My burger was relatively large with the schnitzel hanging out of it from both ends it looked amazing. What I was even more dumb founded at was the Goliath of a chicken parmigiana the boys received. These things must have weighed easy 500-700 grams each. All I knew was next time I was getting one of those … And I did just that a week later. The chips I received were beer battered and tasty and my burger tasted amazing too. The schnitzel was super crispy as was the bacon, the cheese was really tasty, the lettuce and bun were fresh also. I see a few people have put negative reviews but my two experiences have been very good. Might come down to what you chose and maybe when you ate there.
