Service was excellent and attentive however pretty disappointed with our meals. Calamari did not look anything like a previous reviewers photo, I wish I took a photo of it as there was barely any calamari at all – the pieces was so so small that they were lost in the batter. The dish may as well have been batter with calamari garnish. Also the pizza base was soggy – almost like the oven just needed to be much much hotter. Pasta flavors were good but unfortunately pasta itself was very soggy – definitely not al dente. With so many other Italian restaurants in the area I doubt I’ll be back here
We had a coupon deal for this restaurant which is basically just a stroll across the Story Bridge for us. The food was quite good for the price we paid for the coupon. In particular the calzone I had for entree was a standout for me. The dough was light & fluffy with a generous amount of filling eg lots of gooy oozzy cheese! My main was crispy skin barramundi, rich in flavors, with the welcome addition of chilli & a well made cauliflower puree. Oh & that gorgeous crispy skin.
My partner and I had dinner here recently and the food was delicious! We had the mushroom arancini balls with truffle mayo to start followed by the spaghetti carbonara and ravioli as our mains – could not fault anything, super tasty, well presented and the carbonara was possibly the best one I have had. We also had dessert, I had the deconstructed cannoli which was nice but I found the cannoli pastry really hard to bite through. However, my partner had the pannacotta which was really good, so maybe I will pick that next time! The restaurant is tucked away but I would definitely recommend seeking it out – there is plenty of free parking nearby too which is an added bonus 🙂
I went to MDs with some friends on a Saturday night. The food was incredible – I had the prosciutto pizza with anchovies. It had all of the elements of a great pizza. Well executed. One of my friends smashed back some lovely cocktails at a good price. The drinks were all reasonably priced and its definitely a good place to kick off a big (or big-ish) night. The staff were excellent and made us laugh throughout the meal. The location is just of the main entertainment strip and its only a short walk to bars and clubs. Theres plenty of parking around too.Well done guys.
