Good healthy food. While some things can be a bit expensive here, the quality is often excellent. The salads are always different and always delicious – often containing quinoa, grilled vegies and other yummy things. The rice paper rolls are the best I’ve had in Brisbane, the marinated noodles really make them special.Overall, it’s a convenient, healthy place to get some lunch, and it caters to most dietary requirements.
Healthy choices but limited range. It’s great to have a cafe that provides vegetarian/vegan options that are healthy in the middle of the Valley. The cakes and biscuits are all made on the premises and are delicious. I don’t usually buy banana bread from cafes because it is usually stale but the banana bread here is delicious and available in a gluten free version for those that require it. The coffee was also good and although I have mine with regular milk there were plenty of other non-cow options. They also serve rice paper rolls (sesame chicken and sweet chilli, honey tofu and tamari, or lemon mayo tuna), smoothies and a range of fresh salads. I would like to see more lunch options and feel that their current range is limited but understand it is probably a very small kitchen. My only other comment is that the prices seem a little high ($6.90 for a smoothie). With the caf being situated right next to the Endeavour College of Natural Health they have an instant market close by but the students, in particular, may decide they are too expensive.
