Came here because I love the idea of a bar that is also an arcade. Very fun and its an ideal hang out place that is located right in the middle of Fortitude Valley. Ordered the Burgatory Burger ($14) with $2 extra for the wagyu beef patty and the Cryptid Classic Burger ($12) with $2 extra for fried chicken and Hellmouth Fries to share ($8). The burgers were good! The buns werent too soggy, still had that crispy ends and the beef was so succulent and juicy! The sauce was just enough (not too overpowering or flooding the meat inside the burger so much that it was dripping everywhere). The portion of the burgers looks small but they are actually quite filling and a reasonable amount. The fries were good too, some bits were crunchy and it had a punch of heat which added a lot of flavours to the chips. I was pretty happy with the price altogether because every dish was tasty and made me full but not feeling too bloated afterwards. They were easy to eat, the insides of the burger (the meat, cheese, pickles, lettuce and sauce) were neatly presented and there wasnt too much so you could easily pick up the burger without it all falling out and the portion was good enough that you can actually use a knife and fork to eat it without it falling apart. The only negative I could think of (which is not about the food) but about how hard it is to find seats or even a nice spacious area to eat and enjoy the food. The place was packed! There were only a limited number of seats and once people sit, they never want to leave because they know how hard it was to get those seats. Another thing would be the waiting period for the food, I understand that the place was busy but 30mins wait for 2 burgers and fries was not worth it. Overall, the staff were friendly, service took awhile and the food was tasty but it didnt have that wow factor that makes me want to come back due to cravings of wanting more and it doesnt have anything special that makes it different to other burger places. Wouldnt mind coming back but mostly due to the fun atmosphere and being able to play those classic arcade games, not so much for the food.
