My family and I went to No 15 for my oldest sons 21st birthday We all enjoyed our 3 course meals with each course being served in a timely manner. the maitre d, Michael, paid for my son’s most expensive drink for his birthday. when a mistake was made with one of the main courses we were given a free dessert. when desserts were bought out a lit candle was on my oldest son’s dessert with staff singing happy birthday. Michael and his team gave us a wonderful evening Thanks
We had a nice table with the view of the bikeway under the Story Bridge. Lovely ambience, no music if you like that.Gosh…. the service was slow…..We got there at 6:30 and got our bread roll after 35 minutes. Finished the entree in 5 minutes and waited for the main…… eventually we got our mains after 70 minutes from the time we arrived. one waitress was looking after the bar and 5 tables. Its definitely under-staffed.The food was tasty not worth the price though. $34 for silky tofu and dumplings.
Unfortunately the chef basically put no effort into the food preparations. The Caneloni tasted like it was out of a packet. The main course was ok, but was entree size.
We went here for the first time last night and I must say the food was very good. I had scallops for starter, cooked perfectly, my partner chose calamari which was so tender and delicious too. For mains, I went for the 450g rib on the bone steak, medium rare. It was a quality piece of meat, cooked perfectly, lovely sides of mash and veggies. My partner had the rack of lamb which again was perfectly cooked to medium. Friendly staff, nice view of the Storey Bridge. Brightened up our rainy weekend.
Had a Groupon dinner at this place around two week’s ago. Ambience was cosy and service was friendly and sincere. We had the two course meal deal so decided to go for the entrees and mains. Entrees of seared scallops and squids in pepper salt were good in portions, however, if the calamari was tenderised too much and lack of elasticity. Both steaks were done perfectly med-rare and delicious. Overall plating and quality of food were up to hotel standard. Recommended particularly with deals.
Other than a bit of a mix up with our booking the service was pretty good. We had a coupon deal & evidently my booking had somehow been lost in cyberspace!! We had drinks offered with the deal & we chose a red & a sparkling (both were very good) I had the scallops for entree & apart from them being on the small side of tiny they were cooked perfectly as was my partners salt & pepper squid. My crispy skinned salmon was also perfect with a beautiful crispy skin & succulent flesh. Partners steak also a winner. The respective vegetables served with our dishes were crunchy & the mash was quinelled & creamy smooth. All up a great night & very good value coupon deal
Ambience pretty good even though we were not seated by windows could still see the story bridge lights. Service by waiters was friendly but somewhat confusing. For the amount of people here there should be more than enough waiters but service was rather slow. Ordering at 7pm our waitress had to confirm there was still rib fillet steaks which she returned affirmative only to have another waiter come half an hour later saying they had ran out and we had to order again. People who came later than us had their orders come before us and it is rather alarming that it seemed the restaurant only had something like 3 rib eye steaks from what I could see the other patrons having. For entree we had the scallops which tasted fresh, the cauliflower puree was on the salty side though and I am sitting her wondering if our table will finally have our mains served up 2 hours after we actually booked? If you enjoy slow dining then this may be a good choice for you but truly, running out of food at 7pm and having patrons coming later than customers served and finished eating before others that arrived earlier really soured the experience. Can only attach a photo of the entree since that’s all that came so far.
