Where do I get started the seats are super comfy we came on wednesday night for the jazz night and was not disappointed after being at another bar the same night they were nothing compared to these guys. Had a lovely night just listening to this band. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Kickass cocktails and sweet vibes. Get the guys behind the bar to shake you up a custom cocktail or 3. Go on Tuesday nights for RnB jam night with a band that rocks some serious talent.

The best live music (especially RnB Tuesdays) fantastic cocktails and party vibes. There’s something different on every night.Ask for a Press Club Zombie. You won’t be disappointed.

The Press Club is a great bar. It is well located and has a great vibe. But at a recent corporate event that was advertised as serving canapes and drinks and went from 5-10pm the canapes were scarce. There was a small container with about 6 fries and a small piece of battered fish each. A little later a waiter appeared with a tray that had scallops on spoons. Yep, one scallop each. There was a cheese platter as well but this was not replenished during the night and I didn’t notice it on the bar until it was nearly all gone. Too much alcohol on an empty stomach isn’t good so we went off to the mall to get some pizza and then returned. The band were good and the staff were friendly so it was a pity about the food.

One of my Favourites!!. Press club is one of my favourite places in the valley. Last time went there on Saturday with a friend and 2 cousins coming from Melbourne they were impressed. The bartender was very friendly and very professional! he told us it was his first night behind that bar. we asked for 2 cocktails of his choice with white rum and sour taste but not a Mojito or Daiquir ! he made 2 amazing cocktails, but I can’t remember the name! he was very Professional with a real bartender moves! preparing our cocktails was a nice show.

Half ‘n’ Half…. I recently had my 21st birthday at Press Club and, despite my normal easy going attitude, I found that even my patience was tested with the staff. We ordered numerous platters of food to feed my 50+ guests, but all food was delivered piled on 3 platters 30 mins after the party start time (not exactly great timing) and consequently only about half my guests had a chance to eat something. Ended up having to order more food throughout the night which had to be followed up and monitored, not what you want when you’re trying to celebrate. The food, what I got to try before it quickly disappeared, was delicious and while it reads as somewhat ‘wanky’ on the menu, my picky friends were more than happy to devour it all. Drinks, especially cocktails, were fantastic and well priced. The best Cosmopolitan I have ever had! Perfect balance of flavours. Not much can be said for management and the functions/events coordinators of the Cloudland/Empire/Press Club enterprise. They changed event manager 3 times in the 6 weeks leading up to my event which caused major confusion regarding payments for the area I hired. The bar staff and weekend manager were not even aware that there was a party scheduled that night until we arrived. Adding insult to injury, we were overcharged for the bar tab (a feat I thought would be impossible!) and 3 weeks later I am still trying to get a refund from management. I would advise to save yourself the headache of organising an event or function at Press Club as they cannot handle the coordination. I would recommend to limit yourself to pre-drinks before heading to many of the Valley’s better dining options.

New upgrade to an old favourite. Press club is back to it’s original glory with a make over that really gives it a fresh feel. The new cocktail menu is sensational with a great twist on some old favourites. It is great to see that people still have faith in this industry even so the government does what they can to hinder it. I believe a new food menu is coming soon which will really make this place a great place to start or finish in the ever changing Valley. The music is sensational with live percussion sometimes and the staff are all very professional.
