Look, I get it. Its bbq, its all sorts of ribs, rumps, combos, chicken, sides, toppers, burgers, schnitzels, calamari, garlic bread, entrees and on and on…Ive tried the rump with chips and coleslaw (steak was very undercooked but I suspect it may be due to my large party of 10), shared the Meat Magnificence another time and the ribs n rumps combos. The flavours are good, the food is served quick and the service lovely, but its so pricey! I get mains with quality ingredients in such large quantities attract a higher price but portions are massive so you need to share if you want to try their delicious entrees like the mushrooms or garlic bread. Its better to share a meal but they do ask if you want to take home leftovers. The restaurants are clean, have heaters for winter and a bar serving up all the classics -espresso martini, Long Island ice tea etc. But, its expensive dude food in a nice restaurant with good service but no split bills last time I visited. Ive always gone with groups and its great for birthdays and they let you bring birthday cake.
The food quality wasn’t same as before. We ordered three ribs through UberEats this time. The lamb rib was full of fat. We could not even cut or eat.. just had to throw it away. The money we spent on the food wasn’t worth at all. Very disappointed.
After fishing in cold dam waters for 2 hours, Paul Chan and I decide on a drive to Fortitude Valley for a much deserved meat lovers dinner. We park in front of the restaurant and are welcomed by waitstaff who take us directly to our table. Once seated we inform the waitress we are here for the Ultimate Combo Deal ($29) which comprises a 220g Rump Steak, 300g Pork Ribs, Chips and Coleslaw and Gravy. Unbelievably, our beautifully presented meals are served in 12 minutes. Our medium-rare Rump Steaks are perfectly grilled and juicy. The only drawback is some sinew in both steaks but we still enjoy our steaks. The Pork Ribs are nicely seasoned and tender. They can rival the Pork Ribs from Big Roddys Rib Shack and Original Daves American BBQ. Huge serving of hot chips, the coleslaw is okay and my Pepper Sauce is great! Overall, a very enjoyable dinner. The Ultimate Combo Deal is available for the month of June. Thank you Ribs and Rumps!
