Tiny little place with amazing food. We dropped in and grabbed a table. Menus on the table and you order at the counter. Lots of choice and very good value. I chose a sizzling plate- salmon. It comes with a bowl of steamed rice and cup of miso. My dining companion bought edamame to start them the vegetable bento box and seaweed salad. Everything arrived promptly- the food was hot and fresh. We enjoyed everything. The sizzling platter is ideal for an Insta video as the steam lasts for a while. I’ll be back as the meals were delicious and very good value.
I have been here a few times, as it is nicely situated in the emporium.Last couple of times i came, i had the Chicken Katsu Curry, which was a decent size portion, and good flavour. I would and probably will eat here again. My college got the bento box, and enjoyed it.
I have recently started eating Japanese, and they definitely are good. Bought a take away of fried chicken rice bowl had a good load of flavours. The staff is top notch, super cute and friendly! Would like to go back and try more options on their list. So far, my first visit was a good one. Simple interior, but the hustle bustle of Emporium adds to its charm.
Payment was taken with gloves on, the very same that they handled food with. I orded eel and they served me salmon without any explanation. There was 1 order in front of me and it took over 20 minutes to serve a takeaway order due to their uber eats preferences.
Super friendly atmosphere, staff are always on point with greeting and farewell. The store itself is quite reminiscent of a little Japanese gyoza bar. The food, my goodness the FOOD! I only have a really small appetite so the gyoza, mini dumplings and karage chicken are perfect serving sizes. The chicken katsu curry is always divine and never disappoints. I always call ahead and although I’m sure they serve an insane amount of people a day, they always remember my name and preferred sauce (tempura sauce ftw!) I never hesitate to recommend this place 🙂
