Better than expected. Not obvious from the main street that it is more than a pub. Quite a big dining area and quite separate from other bar areas. A lot of the industry workers eat here and I presume it’s because they know the food is good. I like a rump steak and I wasn’t disappointed – cooked perfectly to my liking. My husband’s seafood was fresh and was not all fried which puts me off a lot of places. The kids said their meals were great and the staff went out of their way to make them a special icecream. Very reasonably priced and very friendly service. No view, but just a good meal and good place to take the kids.
Beauty and the Beast. This corner pub hotel situated in Gladstone CBD might look like a beast on the outside but the beauty is within. Finding any good food places in Gladstone without using an arm and a leg is hard to find. There are 2 parts to this establishment so don’t make the mistake of going to the wrong part (upstairs).The price is reasonable and the stone plate steaks are the one to try. Compared to other places in the area, this really is the place for steak.
