My wife and I enjoyed a superp dinner at Alfies. Finally, a restaurant in Caloundra which serves food which have a varierty of textures and taste. The duck melted in our mouth, as with the beef cheeks; pork belly full of flaour and so soft, squid cooked prefectly. Highlight were the oysters, creamy kilpatrick and battered, just superb and all the food was fresh. Well done to Alfies, we will become regular patrons.
The service was excellent. I had the fish and chips special lunch. The fish of the day was whiting, done in a macadamia crumb. It was a bit fishy in taste but the salad and chips were nice and it didn’t feel like it was drowned in oil.
We have been here a few times now and have always found the service to be exceptional, very friendly and professional. The front of house staff are lovely. More importantly, the food has been well presented, aromatic, cooked perfectly and flavorsome. The Pork Belly being one of the best we’ve ever had. You’re able to see into the kitchen which is a bonus for me. The location is great with the boardwalk directly opposite allowing you to take a romantic walk the in a very scenic location. Lastly, we’re not into football but being greeted and seated by Alfie was novel.Only negatives have been we thought they were a bit expensive for the portions and once I ordered the Duck Confit and although it was cooked beautifully it was a tad plain, otherwise a top restaurant.
Awesome! The service and staff were friendly and food sensational. I had the chicken pocket my friend had the seafood basket. Absolutely recommend Alfies and will be coming back!
Alfies’s Moo Char and Bar. Food was only okay but extremely expensive for such small servings. Been there twice but wont go back again
