Came here on Thursday early in the evening. The first thing I noticed when I entered was that there was no fishy smell at all. I ordered a piece of cod battered and 4 pieces of whiting crumbed. Also a large chips. That set me back around $32. The fish was fresh and the chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meal had the right amount of seasoning too. My friend has the battered fish and apparently it was a little on the heavy side, but the crumbed whiting that I had was delicious. The staff were friendly and the service was quick.
This place has very nice beach views, as the name implies. Highlights for me included the grilled fish, nicely battered chips and amazingly battered calamari which just melted in my mouth. The salad was average; just a tiny bit of tomato and heaps of lettuce. My partner enjoyed the fried flake, potato scallop/cake and chips. A tub of sauce is recommended for 2 ppl if you like sauce as a squeeze portion is annoying to manipulate and doesn’t contain much sauce. The sizing of fish is quite large, as seen in the accompanying photo. Overall a good meal 🙂

Yes I would make the 1.5hr trip from Brissy to Caloundra for their fish and chips. Fresh seafood and always guaranteed hot, crispy chips. They are beer battered and seasoned just enough. We usually get the grilled barramundi, however the crumb on the calamari is to die for.
