Birthday lunch with Phuong Tran today at the near-new Arte Gusto which opened last November. We are quickly seated and menus/cold water are provided. We place our orders before the arrival of the lunchtime crowd. Lunch is served in 20 minutes. My Chicken & Mushroom Risoni ($17.90) looks almost like a Risotto. This short-cut pasta is an interesting dish served with chunky mushrooms, shredded chicken, oven roasted sumac egg plant with a ratatouille sauce. For my taste, the ratatouille sauce is a tad tart. Perhaps a bit too much wine vinegar? I still enjoy this meal which I rate 3.5/5.0My partners Bacon & Haloumi Burger ($15.90) looks meaty with 2 big rashes of bacon, Haloumi, fried egg, spinach leaves, grilled tomato and Hollandaise sauce in a Sourdough bun. She enjoys this burger immensely saying the bacon, egg and Haloumi is perfectly fried, Hollandaise sauce is delicious and the fresh Sourdough bun caps off this superb burger. She rates her meal 5/5.I receive a complimentary coffee with my meal. My double shot Kuhl-Cher Cappuccino has a beautiful aroma, is served hot, is full flavoured and smooth. This is one of my best coffees this year, rating a 4.5-5.0Bellissimo, Arte & Gusto!

Had the chicken Fattoush, there would have been a tablespoon of chicken and fetta in the dish, it was swamped by baby spinach to hide the fact there was very little chicken and fetta, very poor value for money. The coffee is excellent and the staff are very good
