OK, I’ve only been here once for lunch and the meal was delicious. However, it didn’t get 5 stars because: for a suburban restaurant that’s street front, the prices were relatively high.French Fries – $10.00 – who pays/charges this for fried potato?Plain Udon – $13.00I had the Teriyaki Chicken Rice for Lunch – $14.00 and although the chicken was delicious, the rice serving was so small I was still hungry.I’m sure that if you go here, if you know the general price is ~ 50% dearer than other suburban Japanese restaurant, you’ll enjoy your meal more.
A really unassuming restaurant in Graceville but dont let that put you off! The food is excellent quality, beautifully presented and the price is right. Well worth eating there for a great evening. The soft shell crab salad and the fried chicken and sashimi and coconut prawn entrees all have to be tried to be believed!!
What I can gather is that a couple young Japanese mates got on the sake one night and decided that they can cook better food than in a typical Japanese restaurant. And you know what? I think they might have been on a winning idea. It’s a great mix of interesting foods that’s not boring sushi. – Eggplant dumplings stuffed with delicious- Chicken drumsticks served 3 ways- Karaage perfectly cooked- Teriyaki beef slab served on kale (I know kale sucks, but this was actually really delicious). The boys have a long way to go and a lot to learn, like; not all westerners love the ABBA sound track, and cheese burgers aren’t Japanese. But what the hell, they are giving it a go, and you should give them a go too.
Fantastic and fresh Japanese food. We love the octopus balls and the Tetaki Beef served with a delicious Japanese mayonnaise and sweet soy sauce on a bed of kale. Yum. Excellent service by lovely owner. Very reasonably priced. We believe by far the best Japanese in the area. Highly recommend.
