Had a work team dinner here on a Tuesday night. They served this amazing bread with oil and garlic and a chive butter (chive butter was not very good and lacked flavour) but I was unable to eat it as I can’t eat gluten. An hour and a half later our mains still had not arrived. The lovely waitress accommodated by bringing me some olives, by that time I was so hungry that I ate the whole bowl of olives. I was pretty hangry by the time the mains came out. My main was the salmon dish which was amazinggggg! Colleagues rated their dishes also. Just a shame they weren’t very well timed. Would go back if I was visiting the area, just not in a large group.

In Sanctuary Cove over the break and decided to have a meal at Black Angus. Unfortunately the experience was a disappointment. I ordered the sirloin and opted for it to be cooked at the table on the hot stone. Though I was able to cook it to my liking, the steak was bland and under-seasoned. It was accompanied by a rather boring side salad and chips (which were dry).My partner ordered oysters as an entree which were okay – nothing special. She then ordered a truffle gnocchi dish for main, which had no hint of truffle whatsoever. We decided not to order dessert after the rather ordinary mains, and bought and ice cream on the way home.Although the views over the Harbour were lovely, the service was really a disgrace. Over 20 minutes to take our order, and nearly 30 minutes to clear the plates after we were done.I would not recommend this restaurant to diners, with a few other (far better) options in the immediate area, all with meals priced similarly, far tastier and more attentive staff.
Service was outstanding, food was incredible. Could’ve eaten the pork ribs with a spoon it was that tender. Definitely worth the asking price.
I really liked the Black Angus burger and would recommend it to anyone who goes there. The service was great too and the mint chocolate mousse was divine.
