Oh dear, what has happened to this once great breakfast cafe. I attended with my wife and child last Saturday. It was unusually quiet, which I should have taken as a sign. The food and coffee used to be of such quality, however, this was not the case. Our daughter’s pancakes were not orderd ‘extra stodgy’ but that’s how they were presented. My corn fitters were unfortunately ‘drowning in oil’ and my wife’s eggs benedict was cold and disappointing. The ambience is still fine however, I felt perturbed with paying $60 for food and coffee that was ‘bitter’ like our experience.

Great place. Modern stylish decor. Friendly staff with good food and coffee. Would like to see free range eggs used instead of cage eggs. Apart from that would recommend.

Visit this café this morning and surprisingly found that I could not pick up any fault here. Despite there was some negative reviews written by some reviewers, I felt very comfortable with the brekkie this morning. Service was friendly and proficient. Ordered a flat white and the first time of Bacon & Egg Tart. Well, the coffee presented with nice latte art with strong aromatic effect when I tried to smell the coffee. Although I did not find out what type of brew was this flat white made of, its taste was good as well as the strength that matched well with my palate. Next to the table was the tart, which was well presented, simple but nice looking dish. Appreciated the chef wrap the bacon and egg together with the scrambled egg mixed with diced bacon and well proportion of tomatoes in the middle to form a tart shape. Taste was delicious and the portion was just perfect for my appetite. Definitely, I will return when I visit the Sanctuary Cove next time.
