Back on the road for some banh mi, before the grocery run. Stopped by Bill’s takeaway for some banh mi.More of selling banh mi than a takeaway but they do offer more like fried items. But I’m just after pork rolls.Classic pork roll with chili, the lady toasts it and come out nice and warm. The bread is crunchy and has a soft texture and a nice flavour to the butter. There is plenty of filling with what looks like 3 types of pork, with carrot, cucumber and coriander and of course pate with soy sauce. In taste wise, this one sits just behind Scott’s rd banh mi.This one has had the most filling compared to Scott’s rd and minh thanh, and cost only $4 compared to $5.So to get a filling banh mi for $4, drop by this place

AMAZING. I’ve eaten many pork rolls around Brisbane but Bill’s Takeway is clearly the standout. You have to try their new roast roasted pork roll, which is simply breathtaking. The staff are very friendly, and the traditional Vietnamese coffee was very good as well. Defitnely a must visit.

One of the many Banh mi (viet pork roll) shops in the civic centre. Decided to try the viet meatball option for there extensive menu. Meatballs were tasty and salad and fresh but the baguette was on the soft side with no real crunch which is a major letdown for me. Next time will ask for extra chili as well. Still can’t go past the 3 buck price tag though
