Bon Appetit!September 2018Our familys favourite Vietnamese restaurant, Viet House has been trading for 9 months. I have visited a dozen times and the meals are well presented with generous serves and delicious! Our order of Herbal Braised Duck Egg Noodles, Raw Beef Pho and Seafood Pork Hock Egg Noodles all rate 4-4.5/5.0 However, the prawns and squid in Gaik Kee Khoos Seafood Fried Noodles are tasteless and rates 3.5/5.0Located inside the air-conditioned Inala Plaza this restaurants Soup Noodles are highly recommended.With…. Vietnamese restaurants typically have strength in one style of food, the other items on the menu are best avoided – or so Ive found. So I make it my personal duty to seek out that magic meal type for each restaurant. The magical meal for Viethouse is the rice dishes! I can highly recommend the crispy skin chicken, the combination pork chop, lemongrass squid. Ive enjoyed others but I dont have photos and it was some time ago. I love that the meals come with a little bowl of broth too. Clean restaurant although there was a fly or two buzzing around. Friendly staff and quick service. Quite roomy too, a nice change from most of the Vietnamese restaurant that Ive struggled to push a pram into. They have 20% off all menu items for the next week too, a nice little bonus.
We have been here a few times, this one has to be one of the newer restaurants opened, clean and modern. Plenty of seating and sit usually where you want to. plenty of room for prams and trolleys, Minimal staff, we had to seat ourselves and grab menus off the counter. We decided on rice paper rolls, beef stew with hofun noodles, and banh canh combination. Also had to order at the counter, maybe it was there was a new waiter.Food didn’t take too long to arrive, staff were friendly and polite even when they missed the sauce for the rice papers. He was apologetic.Wife had the banh canh which was good, but the beef stew was not as flavoursome as I remembered. Rice paper rolls were tasty with the dipping sauce. With a handful of other restaurants around serving similar dishes, this one is average, considering space for prams we will be back for convenience.
Shopped at Inala a few weeks’ ago,due toourusual spot to have Vietnamese noodles had been closed so wandered around to try another one. While we were walking into the Inala Plaza, the sign of this restaurant came to our sight so gave it a go. Needless to say, there were already customers sitting on the tables and we were lucky to haveour tablefrom the help of the owner. Service was quite friendly and we ordered the Cha Gio (Spring Rolls), Banh Canh Gio Heo (Pork leg with starch noodle soup) and the Pho Dac Biet (special beef rice noodle soup). The last one is our a-must to order for the first time to visit a new Vietnamese restaurant as a benchmark for comparison. Spring rolls came to the table first and they were crispy with full ingredients. Both soups came together, the starch noodle was my favourite and the broth was tasteful and clear, Love to see that they served the pig blood as well, which is always my favourite. Special beef soup was average because the soup base was let down. Having said that we did enjoy this lunch very much because the venue seems to be the cleanest among the competitors.
