TL;DR: Colour me suprised with saying how good quality the food turned out to be. Casual as casual can get, the food will paint an entirely different picture. Right around the corner from the old El Dorado cinemas, Earth Pizzeria suits itself pretty well as a centralised meeting spot between times. Much of it does come across as something that will be bypassed more often than squizzed at, with the latter option being thoroughly recommended. It is sometimes those lowly-looking places that have the most earnest sort of quality to them, and is a case for that idea right here. Between coming home from church after serving soup, and having to get to volunteer work earlier than I thought, there was little time to get anything substantial to eat. The main guy heading out the team that night, and possibly hadn’t had anything to eat most of the day either. Quietly while going between different tasks, I organised on UberEats to get some pizzas to come our way. Part of it is being courteous, and another part is always seeing a reason to fire up the app for whatever reason abounds. This was possibly the most opportune time yet, squeezing just one more review in before making a perfect alignment with breakfast the next morning. From going through the options of pizza that were open and would deliver quick as possible, I ensure quality plus something out of the norm. The timing went well as well, since after all the tasks were done there was about an hour before packing had to begin, and with the food coming around at about that time it all was planned brilliantly. Looking at the menu, the selection is big and diverse, and pizza is far from the only food they serve here. Pizza is merely the name to attract the biggest range of clientele, as you can always rely on that as a draw card. It has a small range of pizzas, that are a mix of the general favourites from any local joint, to plus some that are still in that vein getting a bold flavour combination along the way. These are available in several sizes. Merely from the delivery menu, other items they have include many kinds of pasta, some salads, plenty of burgers, bar bites for starters, grilled meats, several pub mains, and a surprising addition of Mexican fare. Presumably, in store several cakes are available in the cabinet, and the range of drinks will be what is expected. It has a bit of something for everyone. The pizza style they use is a big homage to how it is prepared and presented in Italy. That made be joyous to see. By this, the crust is pretty thin and can be folded in half to eat, plus they only use a few key ingredients that will mingle with each other fairly well, plus it does not go without a generous drizzle of olive oil before getting served. It was two small ones that got ordered, and even then they were a decent size; for a single person it would be substantial in one siting, for sharing, you would definitely need to upsize or get a few more. Jumping straight to it, the pizza that I went for was an Americana. On top of cheese and tomato, this is a combination of pepperoni, cherry tomatoes, and roast capsicum with a sprinkle of oregano. The aforementioned style of pizza base was a key factor in how great the pizza was, allowing the flavours, and the ingredients to spread out effectively. It was a mild pepperoni they used, and the slices were big in diameter, thinly sliced. I have found with cooking capsicum, it does have a fairly generous lean with cooking it regarding keeping the texture, and releasing the flavour. The texture here was getting soft and cooked, but not to mush, meaning they cooked it just enough. It had a sweet flavour that would have done well with the fiery cut of pepperoni. The cherry tomatoes practically were bursting on the surface, and the oregano acted akin to putting a dash of pepper to the finished product. I have become good friends with the guy I was working with, part of the reason I got the pizzas to begin with, and he asked if I would like a slice of his. He insisted. Him being a vegetarian, what I ordered for him was the four cheese pizza. This came with the reliable combination of mozzarella and parmesan, with the extras of feta and bocconcini. A garnish of basil finished it off, with that flavour that can only come from basil. One strange thing that was observed was the spicy pizza sauce. Not that it was bad, I certainly didn’t order it, it came as a surprise on a pizza. All four cheeses melded together brilliantly. The mozzarella acted mostly as a bit of texture, and to spread it all out, the parmesan had its characteristic strong bite, and feta gave off a bit of needed creaminess. I am not too acquainted with bocconcini cheese, so I can’t tell how it worked or not with the pizza. Regardless, four cheese pizza is a simple creation that always does well to showcase what each variety of cheese is good for. Mixing the cheeses with a spicy tomato sauce, that strange decision turned out well. Plus, because I can’t just leave it at one nice gesture, I also included a large order of beer battered fries into the mix. The choice of dip on the side was a spicy mayonnaise. This was one hefty serving of those fried potato straws, and they were still pretty good. I always have a soft spot for beer batter, since it delivers that much more of a crunch. That was the case right here. These were hot, very crispy, and did they go generous with the salt and seasoning or what? This is one more strength in their favour. This is one of these instances where the circumstances behind getting the food really helped with how much I enjoyed it. Even in organising the delivery my way, it was still fairly out of the blue and opportune. The pizzas from here were quite tasty, and might have bested a number of Italian restaurants around town that will assure it is their specialty, and were filling. I can imagine that this place works well as a casual family eatery, and that the atmosphere in the eatery is friendly and warm. All of the food provided is prepared without chicanery or additives, the servings manage to get the trifecta of good quality, generous portions, and a reasonable price. And while I no longer tread this place so frequently, I did as a schoolkid and can see many folks around that age using this as the place to base their lunches around seeing movies nearby.
