Great Javanese food that Indonesian friends tell me is very authentic. Staff are always friendly, although some dishes err on the pricy side for the size.
I wanted this place to be awesome, I really did. I wanted unicorns, rainbows and pixie dust to land in my mouth. However I got a mix of salty dishes and very long service. Yeah sure go here to try some interesting food, but be prepared to wait, and be prepared to be craving water. Side note the bench seat is too high for the table. Soooo yeah that wouldn’t have annoyed you… But it will now. (Evil laughter).
Went here for dinner last night, the food was delicious, very authentic and tasty. We had the slow cooked beef ribs and grilled chicken and both were melt in your mouth!! The service was friendly and atmosphere is low key but inviting. Would definitely recommend!!
Came here for lunch on Saturday and was quite happy to pick up two meals for $30 including iced tea. The meals tasted authentic and the staff were very friendly.
Simply the best authentic Indonesian restaurant in Brisbane. Great atmosphere, best nasi goreng and sate. Not too pricey. Family favorite. Service typically Indonesian, slow, chaotic, but friendly.
I have not eaten in restaurant so cannot comment on table service, but I regularly order take away from Sendok Garpu and have never been disappointed. I am addicted to the Laksa Betawi – just a delicious soup that reminds me of similar dishes I have had in Indonesia. I have sampled many other items on the menu and all have been delicious and authentic. The fit out of the restaurant is nice, and does feel like you have been transported overseas.
Was very impressed with the interior of this authentic cafe, actually reminded me of the little eateries in Bukit Lawang on Sumatra. Just loved the fountains, artifacts & greenery. Service here was another story, the place had no more than three customers & after we were seated we were forgotton basically. So there my story ends as we decided to leave as we had an urgent appointment. Maybe another time we will get to try the food as it certainly ticks all the boxes for authenticity
