Had their pretty low cost lunch specials. There were plenty of choices. Nothing to complain about the food, just standard Chinese food, that most likely have MSG in it.
This was our first time ordering from this restaurant, we had it delivered to our house, an hour after ordering! Seeing as we live less than 1km away, it took too long. The food was cold and smelt off, the fried rice was just clumpy white rice with a few peas mixed in, the Mongolian lamb was probably cooked a day before then heated up for only a minute in the microwave. I didn’t eat much of it, neither did my partner, we had to throw it in the bin. I shall not be ordering here again and I would advise anyone reading this to try another restaurant but not this one.
I have been visiting Sun Fay for years and have usually been happy enough with its food, but have been sadly observing its slow but steady decline in value. Stir-fried chicken and noodles are good but a lot of the dishes are very salty, and ordering seafood causes a surprising increase in price. Some of the dishes have also now become more westernised in their flavours which may disappoint Chinese diners or those seeking a more authentic meal. However, if youre after simple satiation with some fried rice and spring rolls, Sun Fay should be able to deliver.
All I wanted was 3 containers of steamed rice. The waitress said that the kitchen isn’t happy to serve me that unless I bought more food. INCREDIBLE! Are they kidding me???? I’ll stick to the Thai restaurant down the road for my Asian fix in future.
Fantastic!. Went here for Chinese take away for Valentines Day dinner. We’re not disappointed. Each meal was superb. When they say chilli, they mean it; but do yourself a favour and get their special fried rice.
Nice quick meal. Went to Sun Fay on Sunday night for a quick meal. The staff are very friendly and food was quite nice. We ordered Mongolian Lamb and also a Chicken Stir-fry, as well as some rice and Chinese tea. Servings are very large! All food was enjoyed!
