Weve visited Soul Origin several times now. We do like their food and coffee. In fact I rate their food 4/5 and service is good too. However, they only serve coffee in disposable cups which is not environmentally friendly. They generate a lot of plastic bags. Yes, I understand they can be recycled but they should have alternatives.
I was here almost 12 months ago and the coffee was great. Returning yesterday I notice all the staff have been replaced. Most probably it is now under new management. Surprisingly, this Barista has two responsibilities, to take orders/payment and also make the coffee. She tried her best but was overwhelmed by the crowd. Service was very slow as she spent so much time at the counter taking orders. She was rushed when preparing our beverages and my expectations were low!As expected, my Cappuccino was lukewarm and flavourless. My worst coffee in months! And why would I bother to wait 10-15 minutes for a replacement crap coffee? I sympathise with the Barista and blame management for the poor service and coffee. At least McDonalds coffee is served hot!
