Firstly and most probably the best feature of the cormorant bay cafe is its unique and utterly amazing view. Nothing beats sitting out on the deck enjoying the view and the food. The food is really well done here and very delicious. The two biggest let downs are the coffee and the price. I think the food is slightly over priced and the coffee is not great. Knowing when I go there that I’m not going to enjoy the coffee really does cause me to go elsewhere in Fernvale for my coffee and inevitably my food. I think if they improved their coffee then perhaps more people would go there :). There is so much potential for a great place to go.
Beautiful outlook and coffe and cake to match. We stopped in for afternoon tea with family. The cakes, slices, and coffee were great, as was the service and outlook over the dam/lake. We didn’t have any meals yet. There is a large park with all sorts of amenities and lots of parking on the day we were there on a warm sunny winter afternoon. Recommended, but don’t dawdle because they close at 3pm.

Same picture perfect views over this beautiful serene lake & great food with gracious service. Also enjoyed a well poured flat white, full bodied flavour & strength.
