Went here today for my dads 63rd, there were 16 of us and honestly we had 16 great meals. From the kids meals to a vegetarian risotto to the ribs every thing was great. My brother who has ribs always as long as they are on the menu said that these were the second best he had ever had but for the best he had to go to Germany. Loved everything, the food , staff and venue. It will be the new spot for our family celebrations for years
Great location to have lunch with a view and a nice sea breeze. But unfortunately if it wasn’t for the scenery, I’d never go back. We waiting a good 1.5 hours for our meals. And it was just your typical average pub meal. Nothing special.
This is the best meal I have had in a long time indeed! Reminded me so much of home, the food tasted fantastic and the customer service was great! I had the bangers and mash which were divine and for the prices the portions are great! For dessert I shared the marzbar cheesecake which was even better! It came with a rocky road crumble but just wish it said on the menu it contained nuts but luckily I spotted it in time! Great views and would most definitely go again 😀
The location, decor, view, cool breeze and overall feel of a visit here is probably a 4.5 or 5 out of 5! However the counter service Irish pub style and some average dishes bring the overall score down. My steak was more medium-well than medium-rare but the vegetables were cook well. I’d say don’t set the food expectation too high and just come and enjoy the ambiance. Make sure you book on the weekend!!!
Can’t say anything good about our lunch at Harrigans. They didn’t have our booking and one staff member was very rude about it. They eventually found the booking but refused to apologise. Waited 45 minutes for our food. I’m Irish so tried a pint of Guinness which was average. I thought the young barman was also unhelpful, told my wife to look in the bar menu when she asked what Chardonnay they had. The food was Basic pub food. We sat outside because the seats inside looked dirty. Outside did have a nice outlook. This was not worth the drive from Brisbane. Very bad experience all round.
