Taking exclusivity to dizzying new heights! This place is only open from 3 pm *Fridays* and *Sundays* at the time of writing.First and foremost, the views from atop level 12 were phenomenal! To sit outside was a moving feast for the eyes from when we sat down at about 4:30 pm. The fading light created amazing effects in some of city skyline buildings, as I am guessing it wasn’t just a particular type of mushroom in the food. Speaking of which…The truffled mushroom arrancini were beautifully crunchy and packed plenty of mushroom flavour however were a little light on the expected truffle pungency. Terrible seguay? I’ll leave…The house olives were a simple mix of big kalamata and green olives of all sizes in a warm herbed extra virgin olive oil. If you like olives, do yourself a favour and order a bowl! The panko and shredded coconut prawns were crunchy and tasted fresh and rich as hoped with a punch of welcome acidity in the accompanying emulsion. The karaage chicken with yuzu and ginger mayonnaise was lovely. Ginger could have featured more prominently, plus the chicken needed a little more time in the fryer to render and make it slightly more crunchy. Overall, simple yet tasty. The cosmopolitan seemed to lack cointreau and maybe some other flare, like burnt orange oil from peel or a peel twirl.I had a Monteith’s (their only draught other than cider) and then an Aussie single malt – Starward, which was decent. The staff were pleasant and attentive enough for the tapas style menu.If you’ve read this far, you’re probably hoping to hear this… please just book already, you will enjoy yourself, I sure did.

Love rooftop bars and the fact that this new joint was only walking distance from home, we couldn’t resist a visit! Atmosphere was pretty good and a nice chilled out place for a sunday sesh. Really enjoyed the live music as well. Cocktails, drinks and food are all decently priced and there are enough to select from to get the tastebuds thinking. As with anything new there are always room for improvement and the one I would suggest they upgrade ASAP is the bar. Line up was way too long! But this refreshing rooftop bar has a lot of potential and I do hope that it is successful to alow for longer or earlier opening hours! Keep up the good work!
