I have walked passed this little deli/cafe and never thought it was anything special to go inside, oh how wrong I was!Freshly prepared salads, cakes, slices, prepared meals to take home. God I want to move to Kangaroo Point just to go and buy the lasagne, quiche and all the other meal ideas. Plus a menu of more goodies.We came mid week for lunch and it was just a constant stream of people getting healthy lunch options. We decided to share a curried lamb filo with 2 different salads. So cheap and so yummy! One place you can have a meal without chips on the side.
Revisited this caf early this morning, which was the best time otherwise it would packed of diners later on the day. First visual inspection found that the caf’ vibe is as good as before. Peoples are very relaxed in enjoying their brekkies. I ordered my flat white and designed my own brekkie form the sides, which I selected the bacon, chipolata & salmon. A friendly staff brought my coffee to the table very quick. Looked at the flat white with nice looking white Merlo coffee cup, my visual and olfactory senses told me that this ought to be a nice one. Indeed, it proved to be true that this flat white was even better than the one that I had at the original Merlo caf in Fortitude Valley a couple of weeks ago. After that, my own designed brekkie came the next, which was full of protein :). A big tick was given for the portions and an additional tick for the taste. Well, this caf really makes my day.Aug 02, 2015 Rating 3.5/5I always have the impression that this cafe must be very small because I see so many peoples sitting at the alfresco dining area for breakfast. It was definitely a surprise when I walked in and realized how large it is. Ordered the fruit loaf with my flat white, its own blend of Merlo coffee definitely earned a big tick. Service was efficient and friendly. I prefer to have breakfast here more than Tuppy’s across the road.
