After months of wanting to visit Wild Canary, we finally had a free Sunday to drop in for lunch. I absolutely love the environment that the restaurant is built in. The gardens are beautiful and the atmosphere, even inside on a rainy day, is bright and cheerful. Theres artwork on the walls and fresh flowers on the tables. For lunch we had 2 kids meals (fish and chips), slow cooked lamb and the ploughmans platter. The kids werent complaining about the generous serve of fish and chips. Hubby was happy with the beautiful tender lamb. The platter was pretty standard – cheese, cured meats, olives and bread/biscuits. Nothing too exciting on it. The highlight was the service and the amazing cakes decorated with edible flowers. The berry, choc and caramel torte was amazing! This place is definitely worth a visit on a lazy day when you can explore the nursery and gift shop and enjoy coffee and cake.

Wonderful experience here. Delicious food in a very nice atmosphere… I ordered fish of the day (grilled salmon) in a seafood platter with octopus and prawn. The highlight of the seafood platter was the octopus. Meals and desserts were decorated with edible flowers. I loved my rhubarb tart, too. Second visit: again I ordered fish of the day (red snapper and chorizo with baked potato). Although it was nice – it wasnt as delicious as the salmon I ordered in my first visit. We also ordered spinach souffl which was sooo good. We got Moroccan orange almond cake for dessert and it was a perfect choice for the lovely alfresco lunch under a big tree.

Had a relaxing lunch here at Wild Canary where we were greeted by friendly staff. We started off with lattes. I had a turmeric – Ginger latte with macadamia milk which was really rich and creamy! Then we had a lamb dish along with their ploughmanS board before ordering dessert from their cabinet which was the lemon and poppy seed chiffon tea cake with blue berries.
