We walked 5km along the beach from palm cove and stumbled across this restaurant surrounded by rain forest. Delicious beef wrap, really nice furnishings but still a relaxed vibe.
Really, really disappointing. We’d been here a year prior and it was great but on this occasion, the food was almost inedible (e.g. the fish was gross and mushy..) and the service so incredibly slow that we ended up walking out. Such a shame given how good it used to be and its amazing and unique setting amongst the trees.
Poor and unimagitive food. What a great atmosphere and dining room. But fancy looking and bland food, very bland food. Service was from staff who did the basics but had little enthusiasm – they’d obviously tried the food. My kangaroo was sent back as very very overcooked. The second attempt was better but still not acceptable in any restaurant asking those prices. Great disappointment.
Outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. Can’t say enough about the prawn taurine, scallops entre, and even great children’s menu with excellent quality of chicken, etc. fantastic experience. Worth the price.
Beautiful place. The restaurant is in an idyllic setting and the service cannot be faulted, However for such a gorgeous place and such lovely staff the food was disappointing . It’s pricey . For the price you would hope for more subtlety in the flavours and a touch more imagination in the menu. If the menu was refreshed I would eat there again for the atmosphere.
