We came back here after loving it a few years ago but we were left really disappointed. We needed 1 gluten free meal and we asked if the chicken salad was gluten free, we were told NO! and then after asking what was available and gluten free we were suggest the chicken salad? Very weird. Once our meals arrived they were very bland, the chicken salad was TINY and left my Aunty still hungry and she isn’t a big eater. I ordered the big breakfast and the eggs were cooked rock hard, I got 1 mushroom, 1/4 of a tomato and 2 tiny pieces of bacon Along with about a tablespoon of beans for $15. My mum ordered the zucchini and haloumi fritters with smoked salmon, the fritters contained no haloumi and there was no smoked salmon on the side, when we asked the lady working said that the salmon was only included with the fritters if you ordered them at breakfast time even though it said on the lunch menu it came with salmon, we were still charged full price even though she said she could remove 50 cents off the bill (wow, generous). Overall we left hungry and dissapointed.

I had the eggs Benedict. The food came out in a relatively short time. The staff were very relaxed and friendly. The coffee was strong and smooth. The decor has changed since my last visit. I’m not quite sure what style they’re going for, but perhaps it’s a work in progress.

Had lunch here whilst on holidays as staying nearby with family and friends. Menu had the usual cafe style fare plus they had daily blackboard specials. Prices pretty good and on the cheaper side than a cafe along the boardwalk. As we had 2 toddlers and a newborn with us we sat inside in the front corner with the low couches and low tables, with space still for a pram. Staff were friendly and attentive- they offered crayons and paper for the toddlers to keep them busy for abit. The locals seem to like this place too for lunch and coffees. I had the toasted chicken, cheese and avocado sandwich, hubby had the steak sandwich special and both friends had the roast of the day special (was lamb that day) which could be served either as a standard roast with veggies, or a sandwich with wedges. Both gave their food the thumbs up too. The freshly squeezed OJ was served in a mason jar. Thanks for a lovely lunch.
