You can’t have a beachy neighbourhood without a fish and chip shop, or a few. This is located not far from the King’s Beach waterfront. In search of a snack, we were considering the options in the area, and the sign near the front of the shop advertising the weekend special helped to convince us. Fish (your choice of fish), two types of salads, and chips for $13.50 seemed like a good deal. From the fish available, we picked the orange roughy, and chose to have it crumbed (you can have your fish either battered or crumbed). There were four trays of salads in the refrigerator, from which we picked the pasta salad and coleslaw. The plate came out with two pieces of fish, a pile of thick cut chips, a container with the salads, two wedges of lemon, a pot of tartare sauce, and sachets of salt and pepper. The fish was nicely cooked, and fresh. The crumb was crunchy, and not oily. The chips were crunchy on the outside. The salads were cold, and had a fresh tartness that contrasted well against the fried items. Altogether, we felt that it was good value for the price.Staff were cheerful and efficient.

My review is based on the gelato only. I love the variety of flavours. I tried the chocolate with ginger and the hazelnut. Both were rich in flavour but not overly sweet. Lovely smooth and creamy consistency, just as gelato should be. Far better than the gelato on bulcock beach at Rumba.

This place is expenisve and pretty average our food was alright everything tasted good enough. Though their seafood salad was quite tasty. But I wouldn’t spend my money on this place again.

My in-laws who live in Caloundra often enjoy takeaway from here, great calamari. But for this review I will just rave about the gelato. The best I’ve ever tasted. Seriously. (And yes, I’ve been to Italy) made on site the variety of flavours includes traditional options, tangy fruit versions and local influenced Malteaser or Snickers flavours. The Turkish delight was amazing. Enjoy an afternoon walk in the beach and treat yourself.

Ordered 5:30pm on a Saturday, delish pack. Extremely oily like the vats hadn’t been changed in weeks. No tartare sauce given even though stated included in the pack.Expensive takeaway for the quality and service. Will not go back again.
