My wife and I were walking past this café and we were verbally abused by the owner. She shouted at us saying we should not walk in front of her café if we were not dining there as it was rude. A second before that, I was just making a comment to my wife about visiting the café on the following weekend as we have not been before. Guess who won’t be trying out their food.  What a way to welcome future customers. It’s no surprise as to why the cafe is empty but all others in Chirn Park are bustling.

Absolutely my favourite cafe across Gold Coast thus far. Cute, hip, savvy little corner store tucked away with a vintage feel and antique edge. Great customer service although the music didn’t exactly match the decor (it sounded like a 2008 rnb playlist including soulja boy and shakira). Still delightful and the staff were friendly. Delicious salted caramel and pecan brownie that comes with whipped cream, delectable berry smoothie infused with orange juice served in a trendy glass jar, and large hot mocha that tasted better than the standard. 5/5 impressed!

Drove to Gold Coast to attend a conference early Sunday morning and found that there was plenty of time prior to the first session so decided to explore around the area. Saw the eye-catching sign of merlo coffee at the front of this cafe and gave it a go. It was so early that there was no other customer in the cafe except three staff behind the counter talking about their exciting stories. I ordered my flat white and took a seat at the indoor corner. Well, I don’t mean to disturb them enjoying their gossips but I do mind to wait more than ten minutes for the coffee in the case of being the only customer. Although the coffee was good, it was not good enough to compensate the unpleasant experience.

Great variety of food. Friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere! Gluten free friendly! S.O.A.P. Is my favourite! Always happy to return to such a fabulous venue!
