GREAT STEAKS. I usually go to Warner Tavern but since it’s turn to rubbish I go to Lawton, definitely worth the drive! !!
After reading the reviews on here for this place, I was pretty keen to try it for myself. My partner and I went last night and the place has a real cheap feel to it on entering. We orded our meals. Approx $27-$30 each. My partners meal was some pork dish which came out cold – it’s meant to be hot! Mine came out smothered in gravy and sour cream that I could honestly not tell you what the chicken tasted like – the chicken claims to be stuffed with goodies, but it looks like cheap shopping centre chicken stuffing, except dryer. Had the meals been half the price, I would be more lenient, but I just think if your are charging this much for good, you’d want to make sure it tastes good! – I don’t recommend it.
Large but ordinary. My partner and I ate there this week. Ordered beef salad and pork ribs. Salad was a nice Thai flavours (personally would have liked more chilli) but the beef was battered, which made the salad quite oily. Ribs were nicely cooked but the sauce was a tad overpowering – a big serve though. Service = okay, nothing great but nothing bad.
The worst experience ever. Shocking is an understatement. What has happened to the good old Lawnton Tavern with decent food and most of all,proper customer service. Firstly, teach the front staff how to use the cash register, and secondly teach them to listen when they take an order. Lawnton Tavern, you cannot treat loyal customers like this !!!
Nice place for a meal for friends or family, a very welcoming atmosphere with top quality pub food.
Was really impressed with the food my friends n I had from the specials board as goin to a pub u expect pub food but was blown away by the choice! Great dinner out will be back!
