The food was incredible, the decor was really sweet and there was ample parking. Prices were very reasonable. There wasn’t a lot of seating – or at least there wasn’t a lot of seating that wasn’t in the sun. No shade provided. I thought the atmosphere was still a little off even with the decor…I can’t quite put my finger on what it was.Anyway, it seems as though Bird & Deer (or is it Wilderness Bar now?) are selling their business. It’s a shame, I think a cafe like this is really important to have in such a location so hopefully it doesn’t sink.If you’re ever around Lawnton stop by for their black forest waffles…my god. ohmessylifeblog.com

Cute, small space. Friendly service, really lovely people working there. Ordered a large cappuccino, chai latte and hot chocolate to go, great coffee and hot drinks. Initially I gave this a 4.5 star rating. **UPDATE** went here a second time: the food was a let-down. Regret: should have stuck to ordering drinks, and not the food. An awkward waitress spilt my drink while she was putting it on the table and just gave me a napkin, she then informed me there was no mushrooms on my burger. Very awkward girl working there on that day. Was not impressed. tasteslikeregret.wordpress.com

The owners Karen and Jamie-lee are just so great and staff are lovely. The coffee is the best there is in the surrounds. There’s always someone who will have a friendly chat with you. The cold press is amazing. The food is really great. Relaxed atmosphere and xool music. It can get crowded at times inside but that’s part of its charm.

This hip little cafe has a cool vibe, with trendy artwork. There is varied seating, with cards, puzzles, books and games on the tables – for those feeling light on conversation. The staff are friendly, good service. The menu is simple and the coffee is fantastic.
