Before I turned to Blackwood Road on that Sunday morning, my gaze was caught by this caf and I promised myself togo back for it. Chose one weekday morning to explore and was quite happy with the visit. I love the al fresco area of this caf, nice and neat; indoor is also spacious too. The Aromas coffee is one of my favourite but only the strength was a little bit weak. Banana bread was not the type that I liked, however, service is so friendly and I would definitely go back again.
Harmony on Carmody is a community based organisation & the prices refect that. When you only pay $3.2 for a cup of Aromas coffee that is a real bonus. It was quite a passable cup too although maybe lacking strength a little. They also had heaps of other $2 specials such as wraps & cakes.It is a spacious cafe with a huge outdoor dining area so feel free to bring the pooches along!

The cafe is run by ACCESS which means eating there supports this important community organisation. They employ recent migrants and unemployed people in-store to help them gain work experience, and they all do a fantastic job.
A perfect experience. My wife and I had been wanting to visit Harmony on Carmody ever since it opened, but hadn’t had the opportunity as its opening hours coincide with our normal working hours (Monday to Friday 7:30-16:30). However, we both had the day off work today, so it was the perfect opportunity to pay a visit for lunch. Based on today’s experience, I honestly cannot fault this place. The meal prices were very affordable (around $8-10 for a decent meal — less than you’d pay in some fast food restaurants nowadays), the staff were friendly and the food came out to our table very fast. The meals were delicious and nicely presented. They have seating both indoors and outside (we chose an outside table to enjoy the beautiful Autumn weather). All ’round, an excellent experience and we’d love to return one day (perhaps weekend opening hours are in order?!).
